Sean Yan is a multidisciplinary designer currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in product and industiral design at Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Originally drawn to design through an interest in architecture and urban environments, he developed a practice centered on objects at the human scale. Working primarily in furniture, his approach considers not only aesthetics but the role objects play in daily behavior — how they support the body, organize space, and bring people together.
Sean moves between conceptual thinking and making, continuously expanding into adjacent disciplines beyond product design. He aims to build a multidisciplinary practice that spans furniture, interiors, architecture and fashion, ultimately establishing a design brand rooted in thoughtful construction and human interaction.
